Get Tough on Angina

The Get Tough on Angina program was designed to educate patients and their significant others about angina. It offers practical tools and resources to help patients live the fullest lives possible.  Read the history of the Get Tough on Angina campaign here.  This program includes four components:

Get Tough on Angina Brochure

1. Patient Brochure
This tri-fold brochure provides quick information on angina including how to reduce attacks and how to cope with symptoms. Healthcare providers are welcome to distribute free copies of this brochure directly to their patients, orthey can place a supply in waiting rooms of offices, clinics, rehab centers, and hospitals.

Get Tough on Angina 2. Patient Handbook
The Get Tough on Angina Patient Handbook is the most comprehensive educational resource currently available to patients with angina. It includes easy-to-read explanations and illustrations of what angina is, what causes it, how to cope with symptoms, how to prevent angina attacks, and more. Download handbook
   
GTOA Toolkit

3. Resource Toolkit for Healthcare Providers
This comprehensive resource toolkit provides information on how to care for patients with angina and how to set up patient support groups and community seminars. It includes a patient handbook, educational handouts, homework assignments, a PowerPoint slide presentation and script, a comprehensive training syllabus, and a CD with pdfs of all of the materials.

The Get Tough on Angina online course provides a step-by-step approach to holding a 4-part patient support group and/or a community seminar.
