Laminated Card: Antiplatelet Therapy
This quick-reference laminated 5 x 7 card was developed by PCNA and includes the information that the healthcare provider should consider when evaluating the patient post-ACS and when prescribing medicines as part of dual antiplatelet therapy.
This card is divided into sections containing information on: the role of platelets in thrombotic events; site of actions of antithrombotic agents; how to best reduce GI bleeding; and types of antiplatelet medicines, including their indications, dose recommendations, side effects, possible interactions, and warnings.
